Luxury Family River Suite

At The River Club, we understand taking time to reconnect as a family is important. Spend time together exploring the beautiful grounds of the The River Club, visiting one of the world's natural wonders at Victoria Falls or relaxing by your private pool.
The River Club is the ideal escape for families with a wealth of things to see and do, both on the property (croquet, snooker, tennis, fishing and nature walks) and nearby (village trips, game drives and other off-site outings).
Our Luxury Family River Suite is a spacious and open plan unit with two semi-private, en-suite bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen-double bed; the other has twin-beds. An additional bed can be requested in the twin-bed bedroom to create triple-single beds. Walk-in mosquito nets swathe the beds. A small sitting area is located between the two bedroom sections.
The main bathroom has a double vanity, bath, separate shower and lavatory. The second bathroom (down one step) has a single vanity, bath, lavatory and separate open-air balcony shower.
Glass doors open to a private outside deck and plunge pool with unimpeded views of the Zambezi River beyond.
The suite is tastefully decorated with furniture and fittings made from beautiful Zambezi teak wood.
The Luxury Family River Suite has overhead fans above the beds, air-conditioning units (cool or warm), a hotel-type safe, a hair-dryer, a mini-bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. In the event of power outages, the inverter/solar battery back-up system runs the overhead fans, as well as certain lights and plug sockets.
Litunga Luxury Family River Suite
Our Litunga Family Room uses the name given to the King of the Lozi people who were all powerful in what became North Western Rhodesia. Litunga Lubosi I (Lewanika I) had a well-ordered society that was enormously respected, and in 1888 he signed an agreement with Britain whereby the country became a proctectorate (and not a colony – there is a huge difference between the two), with Britain running the administration of the area of Barotseland. He travelled to King Edward VII’s coronation in 1902 after which he was granted the privilege of wearing the uniform of an Admiral of the Fleet of the Royal Navy. He is the only African ever to have been given this honour.
